Tipos de Licenças Microsoft

There are different types of Microsoft software licenses that, like different software, offer different features for the most different needs of both a home end user and large companies. Therefore, there is the possibility of finding the one that best suits your or your company's use and if you can't find it, contact our team to receive recommendations.

Every company, whether small, medium or large, will certainly benefit from the right software that helps with day-to-day operations and also with correct licensing, which is why Microsoft offers several types of licensing options for its software that seek to cover the entire range of needs, see some options below:

  • OEM License (Original Equipment Manufacturer): This is the software that is pre-installed at the factory on computers and servers and/or adapted by car manufacturers for a machine. OEM licenses cannot be sold or reallocated to other computers.
  • COEM License (Commercial Original Equipment Manufacturer): Physical license that accompanies the label, media and documentation and must only be installed on computers without an operating system or that have not yet had a version of Windows installed. This license is tied to the computer's hardware and the motherboard and/or processor cannot be changed.
  • ESD License (Electronic Software Delivery): Digital license sent electronically by email without media and without physical documentation such as tag, card, label, etc. Microsoft offers ESD as a model to replace physical licenses and avoid the need to purchase the box and operational shipping costs. This type of license is associated with the installed computer hardware and cannot change parts such as the motherboard and/or processor.
  • FPP License (Full Packaged Product): Physical License sent to the customer with the media (DVD) and documentation such as card, label, etc. This license is linked to the computer hardware and cannot change parts such as the motherboard and/or processor.
  • GGK License (Get Genuine Kit): Physical License that accompanies the label, media and documentation and must be installed on computers that have already been notified of the irregularity of their license. This type of license is linked to the computer hardware and therefore cannot change parts such as the motherboard and/or processor.

Up Software works with Windows and Office ESD version, which in general, some options have a lower cost, as they do not come with a box or manuals - just a download link.

In addition to granting the legal right to use, licenses allow users to take advantage of the software's full potential without exposing their computers to risks. It is highly advisable that before purchasing one of these products you are sure of your need for the type of license.
